The Band has been practicing all
week for a St. Patrick's Day Parade which will take place on
Saturday, March 12 at an undisclosed location. The reason why we
don't announce Band locations prior to events is that there are
still wicked people in the city who are jealous of the Band's
independent status. Enough said. Tomorrow, when they have safely
departed, the location will be revealed.
Meanwhile they are practicing on
their instruments, practicing dance moves, parade formations and
looking forward to entertaining a city far from East Orange that
will appreciate them, their scholarship, their talents and their
As soon as the bus arrives, the
Band quickly organizes to load up the large instruments in the
back of the bus first as Ms Saez checks them off one by one.
The bus is soon loaded to
capacity with Band members and Band Parents.
The last to embark is Mr. Goode.
Saied Beckford is still missing, having taken an early morning
exam at Essex County College, but he is in touch with Mr. Goode
by phone and they arrange to pick him up on Central Avenue before
they head for ... Hamilton Township, NJ.
