New Recruiter for Cheyney University

Ms Jacqueline Saez, assistant director of the East Orange Unified Marching Band (EOUMB) is now officially a Bilingual Admissions Counselor at Cheyney University in Pennsylvania. On Saturday, 4/8/17, she returned to Cicely Tyson school in East Orange to participate in the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HCBU) Fair, representing Cheyney along with Assistant Admissions Director, Mr. Monroe Griffin.

Earlier in the week (4/3/17), she sent us photos of some of her activities at Cheyney, like giving a college tour to students from Detroit, Michigan High School students who are considering attending Cheyney in the near future. "Ms Jackie", as she is known to her friends, is in the front row on the far left.

Assisting her on that tour was our own EOUMB Alumna Alicia George, now a Senior at Cheyney University, who is currently a Keystone honor student with a 3.7 GPA.

Also assisting her that day when the students arrived at Burleigh Hall, was EOUMB Band Director Frederick Goode who is now studying at Cheyney, steadily working towards his Master's degree (with a 4.0 GPA), and maybe a future PhD!

They are both continuing to do what they love to do most; help students get the best possible education to help them face the future.

But today, back in East Orange, our Ms. Jackie is helping students and parents that she knows will appreciate spending their college years in Cheyney, Pennsylvania as they work on getting their college degrees at the nation's first and oldest Historically Black College.
